The company has a multi-market approach, aiming to bridge the gap between the European and North American pharmaceutical cannabis landscape and Latin America’s unmet clinical needs. VerdeMed have been operating in the medicinal and pharmaceutical cannabis industry since 2018 with an experienced, diversified and international team running in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, as well as in the USA and Canada. Boasting a range of products with both CBD and THC content in several forms including gel capsules, oral solutions and mouth sprays, this year the company submitted two drug master files in Brazil and in Peru and are now awaiting the authorization from Anvisa and Digemid (the countries’ respective national health surveillance agencies) to place these products on the market in both nations.
The sales of VerdeMed’s pharmaceuticals are expected to start in the second quarter of 2021 complementing their medicinal sales switch which began this year in Brazil and Chile and will continue next year in Colombia with the launch of a new topical-products line by December.
VerdeMed are on the brink of launching their second-round of investment to raise USD $3-6 million from qualified investors, Fabio Lampugnani stating that "our strategic plan is to consolidate Verdemed in Latin America while preparing the IPO in Canada at the end of 2021".
