Policy and Advocacy Manager, New Zealand Drug Foundation

Kali has been Policy and Advocacy Manager for the NZ Drug Foundation for the past four years, working on issues including drug law reform, medicinal cannabis, and methamphetamine houses. She was a member of the government-appointed medicinal cannabis advisory group in 2019, and has been heavily involved in running a campaign for a 'yes' vote in the public referendum to legalise cannabis this year. Her background is in law, human rights and international development, and she has worked for charities promoting social justice in Berlin, London, Mexico City and Botswana. Before starting at the Drug Foundation, Kali worked as a senior policy advisor at the Ministry of Justice.
