Hector joins Prohibition Partners from our newly opened São Paulo office, where he has been researching the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) cannabis and hemp industries since June 2020. Hector graduated in International Affairs, and has spent his life living in Venezuela, Portugal, Spain and now Brazil, after temporary stays in the US and the UK.

Previously, Hector worked in media corporation Dow Jones doing research on the startup, venture capital and private equity ecosystem in Latin America, as well as working on due diligence projects. He also worked for a Brazilian company in the development of an extensive expert network in the region in order to advise Latin American investment groups.

Today Hector works with Prohibition Partners covering the LAC region, besides working as an instructor for the educational project Global Citizen Academy, while studying a Sustainability and Environmental master degree at Brazilian think tank FGV.
