Before founding MediPharm Labs, Pat enjoyed a 15-year career in the pharmaceutical industry in top sales roles at Sanofi Canada and AstraZeneca Canada, successfully launching a wide range of medical products. He most recently worked at Janssen Pharmaceuticals (Johnson & Johnson) where he led the Hospital Division for Renal and Mental Health products, helping to develop new strategic products and customized drug [bundling] programs for hospitals and specialty patient groups. Pat brought his pharmaceutical perspective to the cannabis industry, with a mission from the outset for MediPharm Labs to standout as a global leader in the pharma-quality manufacture of cannabinoid-based products.

Under Pat’s visionary leadership, MediPharm Labs emerged as a leading specialized contract manufacturing organization (CMO) for Canada’s newly legalized adult-use market, while simultaneously building a multi-jurisdictional, GMP-certified platform to supply the global medical cannabis market. His drive fuelled his chosen team to secure the coveted international pharma-standard GMP licences in short order while also launching a broad range of product formats and production capabilities for medicinal, wellness and adult-use brands.

Pat took MediPharm Labs public on the TSX Venture Exchange in October 2018, shortly thereafter, the OTCQX and FSE exchanges and up-listed to the TSX in July 2019.
