Noah has been a psychedelic law reform advocate since joining the ibogaine legalization movement in the early 1990s. In 2010 he coined the term "psychedelic law" when he founded his blog, New Amsterdam Psychedelic Law, to describe the type of legal analysis and law practice that are necessary to effectuate psychedelic policy change. From May to September 2018 he advised the Decriminalize Denver campaign and assisted in formulating the language of the mushroom decriminalization ballot initiative that the Denver Board of Elections accepted. Based in New York City, he is the principal of Legal Market Strategies and is of counsel to the Hoban Law Group, a Denver-based international cannabis business boutique law firm.
