Member of European Parliament, Malta

Alex Agius Saliba is a Maltese member of the European Parliament for the Partit Laburista part of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament. He is in charge of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee (IMCO)’s report on the Digital Services Act, a future piece of legislation, which aims to strengthen the single market for digital services. He is a member of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO), the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs (EMPL.). He is also an S&D Co-ordinator in the Committee on Petitions (PETI). Agius Saliba is also the co-chair of the European Parliament Integroup, MEP Alliance for Mental Health where he is working to make sure that the EU focuses on the prevention of mental health problems.
